Adrift in the modern world....

The bold enterprize of one woman trying to brighten her day by turning the clock back to the Golden Age of style...when hats, handbags and gloves were de rigueur each and every day.

that she might regret what she's agreed to do next...

I think I might have finally bitten off more that I can safely chew, namely Ihave agreed to take on the role of Ross in macb*** as well as Desdemona in Othello only weeks apart. The trouble is that the role Ross was far to good an opportunity to turn down. It means working with a new director who I have been warned is "unconventional" and there was me thinking ALL directors were!

It also means more time out for rehearsals but and I keep going back to it, it's a step in the right direction for me, so I'll suck it up and see what happens. I am chuffed to bits that he rang me and offered me the part based on seeing some of my previous work and a recommendation from a mutual acquaintance. Didn't even ask me to read for him, even though I offered....so one mustn't look a gift-director in the mouth one should grab said opp with both hands and run screaming into the good night.

My long awaited sort out of the wardrobes is finally underway and should see some stuff up on ebay as its far to good just to lob to the charity shops as I usually do. For example there's a crimson velvet frock coat that I bought in a fit of madness which has never quite fit properly but has taken up space for far to long, so that will be going, unless I have a moment of weakness and stick it back in the wardrobe like I usually do!!!

I was debating whether to chop off some of the old hair as it's now reaching my posterior and basically its now a plait or nothing can be done with it, but again Dessie needs long hair so it will have to wait for a while.

I've no new purchases to note for you, although I did bite the proverbial bullet and bought the Kindle and boy am I glad I did. It's brilliant and my dear papa was quite overwhelmed by the speed and ease of loading books onto it. So he might find one in his Christmas Stocking!

anyway ttfn and have a good weekend all....think of me auditioning cast for a film....in a little room...all stuffy and meh!

Sorry, but... MACBETH!!!

MACBETH, MACBETH, MACBETH!!!!

You're not really one of those people who believe that rubbish about 'saying the name', are you?

No wait, yes you probably are. Seeing as you also tend to watch Britain's Most Haunted (or whatever it's called), I shouldn't be in the least bit surprised at yet more ridiculousness. And they have the nerve to say that the Irish are superstitious... you beat them all hands down, little one.

And by the way...

MACBETH.

I'm done now.
